Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Control Panel Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing electrical control panels, including the layout and wiring diagrams. This position requires a keen eye for detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop: Create detailed electrical control panel designs, including layout and wiring diagrams, using CAD software.
- Technical Specifications: Interpret technical specifications, schematics, and engineering drawings to develop custom control panel solutions.
- Component Selection: Select appropriate electrical components and equipment to meet project requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Documentation: Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for all design projects, including bill of materials (BOM), assembly instructions, and quality assurance records.
- Project Management: Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure designs meet customer needs and project deadlines.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks and tests on control panels to ensure they meet design specifications and safety standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in design processes and propose innovative solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in designing electrical control panels, including layout and wiring diagrams.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, EPLAN, SolidWorks Electrical).
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and control panel design principles.
- Familiarity with industry standards and codes (e.g., UL, NEC, IEC).
- Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and related control systems is a plus.
