Sr. Project Leader: Configuration Readiness Project Manager

Position Summary:
The Project Manager Project will be responsible for working with cross-functional teams and various levels across the organization to drive project deliverables. Key areas of responsibility include planning, organizing data, and effectively communicating and collaborating with resources supporting product and benefits coding, testing, and validation activities. The Sr. Project Lead will develop and manage work plans and timelines, create status reports, facilitate meetings, effectively identify risks, and provide troubleshooting and problem resolution support. Additionally, the Sr. Project Lead will work with leadership to effectively identify, allocate, and manage resource needs.
Major Activities:
- Planning and Coordination: Independently plan, manage, and coordinate activities of individuals at both management and staff levels. Ensure that deliverables, goals, and objectives are accomplished within established priorities, timeframes, and budgets.
- Project Management: Develop and manage project plans, and report on progress weekly. Manage and coordinate every phase of the project.
- Meeting Facilitation: Organize and lead meetings with vendors and key functional areas. Create presentations, agendas, and minutes. Ensure timely distribution of meeting minutes to team members as appropriate.
- Risk and Issue Management: Identify and effectively communicate risks and issues. Develop ongoing action plans to improve performance and outcomes. Identify key gaps requiring formal action plans and work with staff on barrier analysis, action plan development, implementation, and integration of activity into centralized performance monitoring/reporting processes.
- Resource Management: Work with leadership on resource allocation and training.
Education and Experience:
- Education: An undergraduate degree.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of progressive employment experience in a health insurance organization and demonstrated experience in project management is required.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities effectively, and possess excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to interact and give direction to staff at all levels of the organization, including senior staff.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
