Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, FL. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, with a focus on designing, implementing, and managing cloud environments at scale. As a Sr. Cloud Engineer, you will play a critical role in our cloud strategy, working on cutting-edge technologies and helping to drive our cloud adoption and optimization efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on platforms such as AWS, or Azure.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Ensure the security, availability, and performance of cloud environments through proactive monitoring, incident management, and capacity planning.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture and best practices, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Optimize cloud costs and resources by leveraging cloud-native tools and services, monitoring usage, and making recommendations for improvements.
- Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployments and streamline the software development lifecycle.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud technologies and trends, continuously improving our cloud infrastructure and processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related role, with a strong focus on AWS, or Azure
- Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, VPN, DNS, load balancing, and firewalls.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Expertise in scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and tools, including IAM, security groups, and encryption.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
- Experience with multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud solutions.
- Familiarity with serverless computing and microservices architecture.
