Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst with strong experience in Tableau development and a solid understanding of the insurance industry. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing insightful reports and dashboards, and driving data-driven decisions to enhance our insurance products and services. Your ability to visualize data through Tableau and your industry knowledge will be critical in supporting our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support business strategies in the insurance sector.
- Develop, maintain, and optimize advanced Tableau dashboards to visualize data and communicate findings to stakeholders across departments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and translate them into data-driven solutions.
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency, performing data cleaning, validation, and quality checks.
- Provide insights into insurance metrics such as claims, underwriting, risk, and customer behavior, leveraging Tableau to track key performance indicators.
- Utilize SQL, Excel, and other data tools to extract and manipulate data from various internal and external sources.
- Assist in predictive modeling and advanced analytics to forecast trends and optimize insurance processes.
- Create detailed documentation and presentations of data findings for non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3+ years) in data analysis, visualization, and development using Tableau, preferably in the insurance or reinsurance sector.
- Strong understanding of insurance and/or reinsurance terminology, metrics, and calculations.
- Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
- Excellent communication skills, including the ability to engage with C-level executives, underwriters, actuaries, and technical teams.
- Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment, with a collaborative mindset.
- Ability to work well under pressure with demonstrated sense of urgency.
- Thoughtful, pragmatic, agile and commercial approach to development
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with data engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
- Familiarity with insurance-related data tools and technologies is a plus.
- Prior experience working with business users to gather and refine requirements is highly desired.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
