Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior IT Business Analyst with a strong background in Fixed Income and Front Office Electronic Trading for our client, a leading investment bank. The ideal candidate will have a blend of technical and business analysis expertise and exceptional communication skills to effectively liaise between business users and technologists. You will be instrumental in driving business performance and planning by translating complex business needs into actionable technical solutions.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key liaison between business users and the technology team, ensuring clear and concise communication of requirements and technical specifications.
- Collaborate during the development and implementation phases of projects, defining system scope, objectives, and necessary enhancements for complex, high-impact initiatives.
- Identify, communicate, and mitigate risks, considering the implications of technology on the business environment.
- Consult with business clients to gather functional specifications and partner with various management teams to achieve organizational goals.
- Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business needs, recommending system alternatives or enhancements by analyzing processes, systems, and industry standards.
- Provide sophisticated analyses to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic decisions.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, including resource management, work allocation, and staff mentoring/coaching.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies, safeguarding the firm’s reputation and assets through ethical judgment and transparency.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in Fixed Income Electronic Trading platforms.
- Strong technical background with proficiency in SQL and Unix.
- Strong understanding of Front Office Electronic Trading systems.
- Superior communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with front office teams.
- Ability to handle complex projects and provide innovative solutions.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with desk personnel and translate complex business needs into technical requirements.
- Experience across all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Comprehensive knowledge of business analysis principles and methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. Master’s degree preferred.
