Position: Environmental Engineering Manager - Iron Foundry
Summary:
As the Environmental Engineer Manager within the iron foundry, you will be at the forefront of ensuring our commitment to environmental responsibility. Your primary focus will be to develop, implement, and maintain procedures and programs that minimize environmental risks and guarantee compliance with regulatory requirements, with a strong emphasis on emissions control, air quality certification, and water quality management. Note: Title V and air quality experience required
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Emissions Control and Monitoring: Lead efforts to monitor and control emissions from our iron foundry operations, including the installation and maintenance of emission monitoring equipment.
- Air Quality Certification: Develop and manage comprehensive air quality certification programs, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and reporting requirements.
- Water Quality Management: Oversee water quality assessment and management, implementing strategies to safeguard water resources and meet regulatory guidelines.
- Environmental Impact Assessment: Assess the environmental impact of our iron foundry activities, with a specific focus on emissions and water quality, and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Compliance Strategy Development: Devise and execute compliance strategies tailored to address emissions control, air quality certification, and water quality management requirements.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze emissions and water quality data, interpret findings, and report compliance status to management and regulatory agencies.
- Regulatory Expertise: Stay current with evolving environmental regulations, codes, and standards related to emissions, air quality, and water quality, and ensure their integration into our processes.
- Technical Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation for regulatory submissions and provide support during audits and inspections.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement sustainability initiatives that reduce environmental impact
Supervisory Responsibilities:
While this role may not have direct supervisory responsibilities, it will involve indirect leadership by providing guidance to Managers and Supervisors regarding emissions, air quality, and water quality regulations. Additionally, you may need to direct employees on specific tasks and procedures to ensure strict compliance with environmental standards.
