TECHNICAL ARCHITECT, CLOUD SERVICES (CYBERSECURITY)
About this Role:
You are a hands-on SME passionate about designing secure cloud solutions to help our customers achieve anything imaginable. Do you have experience with Microsoft Azure and cybersecurity technologies? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our Technical Architect, Cloud Services role.
As a Technical Architect at Cloud Services, you will be part of our core consulting team that enables our customers to solve complex technology problems. You will work with a diverse and specialized team of Cloud experts, engineers, and various SMEs to develop and deliver cloud solutions using platforms such as Microsoft Azure (specialization), AWS, and GCP. You will also stay updated on technology and ecosystem trends, especially security controls, threat protection, IAM, cloud infrastructure, distributed architecture, and compute services.

What You'll Do:
Key Responsibilities:
Security Architecture Design:
- Implement complex cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure services (preferred), AWS, or GCP.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive cloud security architectures aligned with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Assess and evaluate cloud service providers and their security offerings.
- Design and implement security controls for cloud environments, including identity and access management, data encryption, data loss prevention (DLP), vulnerability management, and threat detection.
- Define security controls and policies to access to data, monitor alerts that ensure data, apps, containers, infrastructure, and networks are protected.
- Design access configurations within a cloud solution environment using the defense-in-depth principle
- Understanding of OWASP top 10 security standards
Technical Leadership & Implementation:
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to integrate security controls into the software development lifecycle.
- Oversee the implementation of security tools and technologies, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, identity access & management (IAM) and security information and event management (SIEM) solutions.
- Provide technical guidance and support for security-related issues.
- Lead and mentor a team of cloud security engineers and developers, providing guidance on best practices.
- Stay up to date with emerging security threats and trends.
Risk Assessment & Management
- Conduct risk assessments to identify and evaluate security threats.
- Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to protect sensitive data and systems.
Compliance & Governance
- Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, HITRUST, ISO, CSA and PCI DSS.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct security audits and GAP assessments
Incident Response
- Collaborate with customers to develop and maintain incident response plans.
- Coordinate and manage security incident investigations and response activities.
- Implement measures to prevent future incidents.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including development, operations, and security to ensure seamless integration and operation of cloud systems.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand business requirements and provide cloud solutions that meet their needs.
- Communicate system requirements and specifications to software development and engineering teams, as well as key stakeholders
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field
- AZ-305, AZ-500, AZ-700, SC-200, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, or other specialized security certifications.
- Experience as a Technical Architect or a similar role in the cloud services field
- Expertise in Microsoft Azure, AWS, or GCP and equivalent cloud technologies
- Deep understanding of security concepts (Zero Trust Network, CASB, SIEM, SOAR, PKI, DevSecOps, IAM and PAM, etc.)
- Experience with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, CIS, CSA STAR, ISO 27001).
- Knowledge of security tools and technologies (e.g., firewalls, IDS, SIEM, vulnerability scanners). Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing customer needs
