Job Title: Datacenter Technician

Walking into an established team, your role will be integral to the company’s future success, where your key responsibilities include the consistent & efficient running of the data center’s operation and critical infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Critical Facilities Monitoring System and provide reactive services, notifications, and escalations as needed for alarm events.
- Deliver top-tier physical and remote support to local and international colocation customers 24/7/365, including fiber and copper cross-connects and equipment troubleshooting.
- Manage and assist with customer support requests through a web-based ticketing system, including access requests, remote hand troubleshooting, order processing, delivery logistics, and general support.
- Execute sales orders and prepare facilities to support new customer environments in line with ongoing sales activities.
- Conduct hourly walkthroughs to visually inspect and record readings from critical electrical and mechanical equipment, ensuring optimal facility conditions.
- Assist with physical security monitoring using cameras, access badges, door alarms, and notifications.
- Perform rack and stack tasks for customer equipment as needed.
- Handle routine operational tasks such as equipment repairs, troubleshooting, interconnection circuit orders, and general site support.
- Manage customer package deliveries, including receiving, handling, storing, and shipping.
- Respond to client calls, emails, and inquiries professionally, coordinating appropriate resources to resolve issues.
- Assist in client deployment strategies and facility expansion planning.
- Sign in and out visitors and escort authorized personnel as required.
- Monitor and assist during planned outages or maintenance windows.
- Maintain detailed logs of all events, anomalies, inventory, and work tickets.
- Maintain ethical, professional, and courteous relations with contractors, tenants, and colleagues.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisors.
Skills and experience:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Suite.
- High School Diploma (Essential)
- Experience with racking and stacking servers (Essential)
- Relevant certifications or associate’s degree in in a technical area of study strongly.
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience working in a data center environment or similar technical role (Essential).
- A minimum of 2 years of customer service experience (Essential).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially with supervisor and local site team.
- Experience working independently as well as collaboratively; effectively managing priorities while meeting hard deadlines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Knowledge of data center hardware, including servers, switches, and storage systems.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and network issues.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.
