Summary
The Corporate Banking and Transverse system domain within GIT New York organization is segregated into two IT lines in charge of IT projects, applications support & maintenance of business systems. Corporate Banking IT: Commercial banking (Front and back office), Trade Finance, Payments and SWIFT messaging. Corporate & Support Functions IT: Finance, Counterparty & Credit Risk systems, Compliance applications, transverse applications, as well as non-business applications (IT for IT, Administration, HR ...).
The Corporate Banking IT line is looking for a hands-on manager of Payment systems to manage the production support and business projects for Montran JGPS and related systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead production support and business projects for the Montran JGPS and related applications.
• Coordinate the internal and external resources required to support of the applications.
• Contribute to key initiatives related to technical/functional IT and business projects to meet and support business objectives.
• Responsible for production support:
• Manage day to day production needs:
- Resolution of production issues, including RCA, defect remediation and incident reporting.
- Lead troubleshooting of issues and provide guidance to the support team members.
- Track internal and vendor compliance with support SLAs.
- Management of maintenance activities including business continuity and critical application failover tests.
- Report on domain status to internal stakeholders and management.
- Actively support all efforts to simplify and enhance the information systems.
• Responsible for project deliverables:
• Act as main point of contact for projects.
• Work with project stakeholders and contributors to gather requirements and develop solution strategies.
• Coordinate with technical teams and provide clarifications and guidance on requirements.
• Create required documentation for requirements, solution design, implementation.
• Develop test scenarios and test scripts and execute and facilitate unit, integration and user acceptance testing.
• Train and support teams.

• Ensure accuracy and expediency of any activity related to audits.
• Ensure that all system implementations meet US regulatory standards and are done in accordance with the Bank’s policies and procedures.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
Qualifications/Education Required:
- Bachelor’s Degree
• Excellent communication
• Strong skills in developing relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Autonomous, self-motivated and excellent team player
• Real appetite to understand business user requirements and priorities
• Presentation skills to synthesis and facilitate communication across a variety of interlocutors
• General banking and finance understanding and knowledge preferred
Experience Required:
• 7+ years’ experience as IT application manager or team lead supporting payment systems.
• Financial Services industry experience
• Experience supporting Operations Teams
• Experience managing an IT support team
Specialist Training Required:
• ITIL preferred
• Project management
Competencies Skills & Knowledge Requirements Requirement
• SQL
• Excel (test plans)
• Understanding of FEDWIRE, TCH (CHIPS), and SWIFT networks
• Understanding of MQ Series
• Unix/Linux and Windows environments preferred
• Knowledge of Oracle databases preferred
• Compliance system support experience (e.g. Fircosoft, AML) preferred
