About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Data Analytics Architect with advanced expertise in Snowflake, Kafka, Flink, Aurora, and Snowpark. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving the enterprise analytics architecture, enabling the organization to leverage data insights for informed decision-making. This role involves designing, developing, and implementing cutting-edge analytics platforms while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure that data solutions align with business needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Enterprise Analytics Architecture:
- Drive the development and implementation of enterprise-wide analytics architecture to support insights and decision-making processes.
- Leverage deep knowledge of the organization's information, application, and infrastructure landscape to design a comprehensive and optimized analytics platform.
Strategy and Operationalization:
- Define and implement strategies for operationalizing analytics capabilities, including discovery, analysis, and reporting across various business segments.
- Analyze, prioritize, and align data and analytics technologies to current and future business requirements.
Solution Design and Architecture:
- Perform hands-on solution design, including architecture roadmaps, prototyping, and proof-of-concepts to support project and product development.
- Develop SQL queries to research, understand, and relate distributed data repositories across the enterprise.
Data Modeling and Documentation:
- Develop and document data models, ensuring data is well-defined and easily searchable.
- Collaborate with users across the organization to capture process changes and update data models accordingly.
Support for Data Science and Analytics:
- Work closely with the Data Science team to implement advanced analytical models and support data pipelines.
- Develop strategies and approaches for Analytics as a Service (AaaS) to meet the organization's needs.
Data Governance and Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Ensure accurate documentation of data assets and identify critical gaps in the information domain through workshops, interviews, and internal analysis.
- Partner with Master Data Management (MDM), Data SMEs, and other stakeholders to design and implement effective data solutions.
Data Solution Development and Security:
- Develop and maintain data artifacts, and act as a liaison between ETL, integration, Data Science, and BI teams.
- Plan, design, and monitor the security, usability, and stability of the analytics platform, ensuring compliance with enterprise standards.
Liaison and Communication:
- Act as a bridge between technical teams, functional teams, business functions, and system integrators to drive architectural solutions.
- Document and explain complex architectures to both technical and functional peers, and other organizational levels as needed.
Business Alignment and Impact Analysis:
- Translate business needs into solution architecture requirements and apply multiple technical solutions to business problems.
- Estimate the financial impact of solution architecture alternatives, ensuring alignment with business goals.
Data Governance and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with product teams to define data dictionaries, data lineage, and relationship metrics.
- Stay current on the latest technologies, trends, and strategies to ensure the organization is leveraging the most effective solutions.
Required Qualifications:
Technical Expertise:
- Advanced experience with Snowflake, Kafka, Flink, Aurora, and Snowpark.
- Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with data modeling and architecture design.
Experience:
- Extensive experience in enterprise-level analytics architecture and data solutions development.
- Proven track record of working with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and secure data solutions.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in cloud-based data architectures, particularly within AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud environments.
- Relevant certifications in data architecture or cloud technologies are a plus.
