Advertised Job Summary:The pharmacy resident will be responsible for providing evidence-based, collaborative, patient-centered care under the supervision of a preceptor. The pharmacy resident will be a self-directed, independent, motivated learner as guided by the Residency Program Director and preceptors. The pharmacy resident will conduct several projects to improve the quality of patient care, advance the profession of pharmacy, and evaluate the sustainability of pharmacy services. The pharmacy resident will also provide medication-related education and training to healthcare professionals.
This position is at SouthWire in Carrollton, Georgia.
One Pharmacy resident position is available for one year beginning from July 1st, 2024 – June 30th, 2025
Required Education and Experience:PharmD degree from ACPE-accredited college or school of pharmacy; eligible for licensure as a Pharmacist in the State of Georgia; current CPR certification is required; must meet the qualifications to administer vaccinations according to the Georgia Board of Pharmacy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Strong interpersonal skills, innovative, team player. Leadership skills and organizational ability.
Effective presentation and demonstration skills, both theoretical and practical. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated competency to interact with people at all levels of the organization.
Job Duty:To promote, manage, schedule, and conduct clinical services in the pharmacy and/or site clinic. This will involve interactions with patients and healthcare providers.
The Pharmacy resident will also provide medication-related education and training to healthcare professionals

The practice site teaching opportunities will involve assisting the site preceptor with experiential education training for College of Pharmacy students.
