We are currently seeking a Senior, Subsea Pipeline Engineer, reporting to the Delivery Manager to join our consulting team based in Houston, Texas.
About The Job
The Senior, Subsea Pipeline Engineer will prepare and conduct detailed mechanical pipeline design calculations related to pipeline route selection, wall thickness design, on-bottom stability analysis, free span analysis, cathodic protection design, and advanced finite element simulations including end expansion, on-bottom roughness, global buckling, and walking. You will conduct advanced FEA calculations related to global buckling, pipeline walking, on-bottom roughness and conduct pipeline VIV calculations as well. You’ll also coordinate, supervise, and check offshore pipeline analysis results. Also responsible for preparing comprehensive technical reports and provide bid/tender engineering support related to pipeline design and installation.

About You
We’d love to hear from you if your profile meets the following essential requirements:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Ocean Engineering with 7+ years of relevant offshore pipeline design experience.
- Familiar with U.S. and international design codes and practices for offshore pipelines.
- Working knowledge of pipeline hydraulics, mechanical design, control and protection systems, repair methods, and pipeline technology.
- Abaqus finite-element software knowledge and experience.
- Experience/Exposure with pipeline routing/spanning software, such as Fledermaus and Sage Profile is a plus.
- Onshore pipeline experience is a plus.
- CO2 and H2 pipeline experience is a plus.
- Must be willing to learn new software or analysis methods as project needs arise.
- Knowledge of pipelay methods (S-Lay, J-Lay, Reel-Lay) and their impact on in-place operational design.
- Must have good computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and MathCad. Knowledge of AutoCAD is a plus.
- Must have good communication, writing, and presentation skills, and an excellent work ethic and work attitude; organizational skills a must.
- Have knowledge and expertise acquired through progressive experience to resolve crucial issues and/or unique conditions.
- Technical specialist for the organization in the application of advanced concepts, principles, and methods in the field of offshore pipelines.
- Must interpret, organize, execute, and coordinates assignments. Must also be a team player.
