Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the PMO Manager in Richmond, VA, the Jr. Project Manager will be based out of Richmond, VA and performs a variety of project management and coordination activities related to custom built applications servicing data exchange. The Jr. Project Manager role entails project guidance through collaboratively working with those in leadership, clients and staff to ensure accuracy, completeness, timeliness and alignment of resources while meeting or exceeding project objectives. Responsibilities include tracking and organizing multiple projects from conception to delivery.
Your Role:
- Lead internally facing projects in working with the information technology team including development, testing, implementation and operations support.
- Coordinate project deliverables and updates with clients and third party vendors to ensure timely delivery of health information exchange services and integrations.
- Support the technology teams with assigned projects, correspondence, and various administrative tasks, such as tracking project deliverables, dates and monitoring deadlines.
- Update necessary tracking system(s) to ensure the project and/or product status is maintained with complete accuracy, including third party management systems.
- Create and distribute correspondence relevant to the team, project or program (internal and external).
- Support product roadmaps, overseeing the backlog of improvements and defects, facilitating release management, and coordinating communications around product launches.
- Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress
- Supporting the PMO in tracking project priority across the company and keeping project details current using the support tools.
Your Profile:
- 3+ years or more project management experience on information technology software projects
- Familiarity with Agile, Scrum, KANBAN, and Waterfall project methodologies.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Azure Dev/Ops or similar Agile technologies.
- Experience working with software development teams to track hours and tasks, remove roadblocks and quickly bring the team together to collaboratively solve problems.
- Ability to assess risk and identify key stakeholders necessary to remove barriers.
- Must be highly organized and show an ability to track, monitor and assign duties as required by project goals and requirements.
- Must be a strong communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Must be reliable and highly accountable for projects, ensuring all team members understand the deliverables and offering reminders as needed to keep each project on track.
- Must work well in a team environment yet be able to work independently as needed.
- Independent thinking and good judgment are necessary to respond to needs appropriately.
- Initiative in suggesting and implementing improvements is desired.
