Position Overview:
This role is integral to the department, providing support in various capacities, including maintaining the general ledger, performing administrative tasks, data entry, and preparing financial statements. The ideal candidate will bring 2-5 years of accounting experience, showcasing strong organizational skills, proficiency in computer use, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Excellent communication skills and meticulous attention to detail are crucial for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain and manage the general ledger
Perform data entry and assist in the preparation of financial statements
Handle accounts payable and receivable, conduct bank reconciliations, and prepare cash-basis financial statements
Execute administrative tasks such as running errands, answering and routing phone calls, scheduling, processing payments, and billing
Skills and Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of the full accounting cycle
Strong experience with data entry, problem-solving, and decision-making
Keen attention to detail, dependability, and thoroughness in work
Ability to work independently and drive results
Strong communication skills and the ability to analyze and process information effectively
Experience Required:
A minimum of 2 years of relevant accounting experience (preferred)
Education Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent
