What your day will look like:
- Coordinates the receipt of all deliveries at the 12 Mile facility, ensuring materials are routed to the appropriate locations, filing paperwork, and performing related transactions in Microsoft D365.
- Ensures shipping arrangements align with the shipping and production plans.
- Inspects and packs shipments of Class 9 hazardous materials, ensuring compliance with UN regulations before dispatch.
- Maintains detailed records for all shipments and completes associated shipping and receiving transactions.
- Serves as the primary contact for freight companies, coordinating with relevant teams to determine the most suitable shipping methods and service providers based on factors such as time, cost, shipment size, destination, and material type.
- Collaborates with manufacturing and material control teams to establish and improve processes that enhance the efficiency of product shipment and material movement within the facility.
- Assists with material control and inventory management tasks as needed.
What we are looking for:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Shipping, Receiving, Inventory Management, or Material Control.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook; experience with Microsoft D365 is advantageous.
- Experience or certification in shipping dangerous goods (training provided if not yet certified).
- Willingness to operate or learn to operate a forklift (training available for those without prior experience).
- Comprehensive knowledge of Import/Export Operations, including Claims, Contract/Rate Negotiation, Freight Consolidation, and Receiving/Shipping Processes.
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs Compliance, Duty Drawback, and HTS classifications, as well as USC, NAFTA, and UNDOT regulations.
