Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program in the United States.
- PE registration in the state of South Carolina or the ability to obtain the same.
- NCEES registration desirable, if not currently registered, then ability to obtain registration if hired.
- Ability to obtain additional state professional registrations as required.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience as a registered PE in mechanical engineering of industrial projects with a variety of mechanical systems including the design of HVAC systems, chilled/hot water, and DX systems, cooling/and heating load calculations, equipment selection, controls, life cycle costing, specification writing, studies, cost estimating, shop drawing review, site observations and basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Construction experience is desirable.
- Experience with development of fire protection specification sheets, design of plumbing, process piping, and compressor piping also desired.
- Experience with computer aided design and drafting programs including but not necessarily limited to AutoCAD and Revit.
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with English as the primary.
