Job Description:
Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Associate Project Management position to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This project management position will support an Integrated Product Team (IPT) on the B-21 program located in Melbourne, FL. We are seeking a highly motivated and extremely detail-oriented individual, with an eagerness to learn. The selected candidate should have a willingness to explore new project management techniques and develop them in a team environment. This position will be located in Melbourne, FL. There is no teleworking option available.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and support the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management, the project team, and line management.
Prepare work instructions and checklists for project management tasks.
Provide quality analysis of completed work to ensure high customer satisfaction.
Review status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
Assess project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives.
Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and customers.
Maintain various metrics and develops associated dashboards for presentations.
Tool and metric development, and management of small projects within the larger program and business area.
Support of internal and customer meetings including meeting presentation collection, and content generation, action item tracking, and post-meeting follow-up.
Develop customer relationships and customer intimacy.

Basic Qualifications:
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of applied experience. Will consider 0 years with a bachelor's degree.
Be able to obtain a U.S. Government security clearance.
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access within 365 days of submission.
Ability to communicate with multiple levels of the organization having excellent presentation skills.
Self-driven and takes ownership of assigned tasks.
Preferred Qualifications:
Demonstrated project management skills.
Ability to effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
Experience in contracts executing full earned value management.
Experience using SharePoint, Tableau, JIRA, Kanban Boards.
Experience using Microsoft (MS) Office products to include Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Experience following work instructions and process documents to learn how to complete standardized tasks.
Salary Range: $51,400 - $77,200
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
