ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsibilities include setting goals, evaluating performance, developing outcomes and use program and client outcomes data to improve services delivered to the children and families served.
- Prepare an Individualized education program for each student.
- Assess each student in reading, math science social studies and other subject areas.
- Prepare daily and longer-term lesson plans in accordance with curriculum and state guidelines.
- Teach the full range of learning areas: English (reading, writing, speaking and listening), mathematics, science, technology, Spanish, arts society and environment, and personal development.
- Use computers to assist in lesson preparation, teaching and reporting.
- Develop and maintain good working habits and discipline in classrooms.
- Supervise students during classes and at other times in the school day, including lunch breaks.
- Attend staff meetings and other training and development sessions.
- Assess and evaluate students’ progress in written and oral work.
- Other duties as needed.
REQUIRED:
- Ability to pass a background check.
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
- Live in the United Stated
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Relevant teaching experience (i.e. 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th, 9th 10th 11th 12th grade classroom teaching).
- Knowledge of relevant instructional methods and technology.
- Desire and ability to work with students at this specified age level.
