Manufacturing/Process Engineer - Flowery Branch, GA area
We are seeking a seasoned Process Engineer to oversee the design, operation, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of mechanical assembly and clean room processes.
Monday - Friday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize manufacturing processes based on client specifications, collaborating closely with the project team.
- Possess a strong technical foundation, with hands-on experience in product development, system design, and implementation for manufacturing.
- Collaborate with the project team to convert client needs into tangible deliverables.
- Understand client requirements and coordinate the necessary resources to define project scope.
- Design, configure, and refine industrial processes from the initial concept through to startup and certification.
- Evaluate processes, gather data, and perform detailed analyses.
- Establish best practices, routines, and innovative solutions to enhance production efficiency and output quality.
- Oversee changes in project scope, timeline, and budget.
- Monitor project performance using relevant tools and techniques, providing reports and escalating issues to management as needed.
- Develop training programs and work instructions for processes.
- Conduct risk assessments to mitigate project risks.
- Compile and maintain comprehensive project documentation and operational instructions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification or higher is advantageous.
- Experience in Clean Room or High-Tech industries is preferred.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
- CAD/CAM experience, preferably with Solidworks.
- Familiarity with ISO9001-based Quality Management Systems.
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, Six Sigma, Lean, etc.
- A strong preference for familiarity with Manufacturing Technology, including machining, sheet metal, assembly, testing, and qualification.
- Competence in reading and creating design prints, understanding Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, and using inspection equipment and gauges.
- Ability to learn quickly and effectively teach others.
- Capable of driving technological improvements, enhancing equipment efficiency, improving quality, and reducing costs.
- Innovative thinking is essential.
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across all levels and functions within the organization.
