The Process Engineer applies engineering skills and experience to develop design parameters to allow evaluation and justification of equipment necessary for optimization and improvement of the process.
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5+ years of chemical manufacturing experience in batch organic chemical or emulsion polymerization environment is preferred
- The Process Engineer is accountable for analyzing operational processes, data and results to identify, design and implement effective improvements in the manufacturing area.
- Responsible for monitoring daily production and adjusting recipes to maintain products within specifications with consultation from Research and Development and Technical Service
- Proficient working experience with process control PLCs and batch programming language is required
- Evaluates the utilization of materials, manpower and equipment for optimum efficiency and productivity, with lowest cost for existing and proposed installations.
- Leads efforts related to PSI, PHA, Operating Procedures
- Participates in and may lead programs relating to process control, process development, operator training and others as assigned.
