Description:
The Human Resources Administrative Generalist performs various administrative and professional work supporting Weatherly Casting & Machine Co. LLC's human resources, payroll, sales, and customer service programs. The incumbent independently prepares, conducts, and takes definitive action regarding processes and functions integral to the various department's missions. Work includes human resources, payroll, safety, sales, and customer service duties.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position reports directly to the Human Resources Manager at the Ashland, PA, location.
SUPERVISION EXERCISED
This position is not responsible for the supervision of other employees.
Requirements:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION
NOTE: An employee assigned to this title shall perform a majority, but may not perform all, of the duties listed in this job description. General HR
· Supervisor support
· Attendance tracking – weekly
· Preparation of disciplinary documentation for consistency - monthly
· Employee communications; Mandatory posting management
· Retirement gifts/planning
· FMLA / FLSA / ADA Management

Labor Relations
· Posting of job bids and awards, tracking
· Non disciplinary separations (Layoffs, Bumping, Furloughs)
· Labor management meetings & documentation (agenda & notes)

· MOU drafts
· Probation extension tracking; Last Chance Agreements & management
· Seniority Lists – monthly present to the union
· Semi-annual and annual required information to USW
· Termination support
Benefits
· Open enrollment rollout
· Benefits orientation & initial enrollment
· HIPPA/PHI certified individual to review claims information – for employees or as otherwise appropriate
· POC for questions from employee/spouse
· Short-term Disability Entry & management of claims
· LTD (only non-union) Liaison for facilitation of claims & questions from the carrier
Occupational Health
o Pre-employment drug, alcohol & audiogram and silica testing scheduling
o Annual hexavalent chromium medical surveillance
o OSHA medical surveillance; 3-year rotation for silica (Annual follow-ups for those with limitations)
Worker's Compensation
o Reporting of claims
o Treatment of injury – management of process
o Light duty assignments
§ Documentation of light duty offer
§ Manage light-duty process through location/supervisor
o Compliance with PA Worker's Compensation law

o Add new shift codes in Odyssey as needed
o Add new status and absent reasons as needed
o Assist supervisor with odyssey issues
Reporting
o Run Seniority listing for vacation updates, monitor weekly
o Monthly Points Reports
Union
o Monthly Union Dues
o Assists with Collective Bargaining Agreement administration and receives and routes grievances correctly.
Miscellaneous
o Scan documents into employee files in Paylocity
o Answer door, assist vendors/visitors, sort mail as necessary
o Employee listings/retiree listings for the union, as requested
o Help employees resolve insurance issues; print new cards
o Work with purchasing to order office supplies, monitor, stock, and replenish office equipment, such as paper and ink for the printers and copiers
o Special Projects as assigned
Customer Service
· Submit quotes in response to customers' requests for a quotation for castings and machining.
· Request quotes from vendors for any outside operations.
· Enter orders, checking all details for accuracy.
· Resolve any problems regarding pattern equipment, missing information, new revisions, etc.
· Acknowledge orders.
· Print and distribute shop orders for production.
· Load new parts with all manufacturing routing steps and customer requirements.
· Respond to requests for order status.
· Scan and file.
· Other duties.
· Answers routine questions from employees, retirees, and the public or directs appropriate staff when necessary.
· Regularly interacts with organizational leadership, employees, vendors, and affected individuals within and outside the organization to assist with completing general informational requests or directions to appropriate staff to provide the highest-level customer service.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE1. Associates Degree in Human Resources or Business; and, 2. Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources preferred; and 3. A minimum of two years experience working in an HR support position or,4. Equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally enter the plant environment and be exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet but can be moderate or loud when entering the plant. The temperature in the work environment is usually regulated; however, in the plant, the temperature may be cold in the winter and hot in the summer. Employees must wear proper steel-toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection while working in certain areas.
