Our established semiconductor client in the South Bay is seeking a staff/principal analog/mixed signal design engineer as follows.
Responsibilities:
- Design and simulate analog and mixed-signal circuits, including amplifiers, ADCs, DACs, PLLs, LDOs, and other essential components.
- Contribute to the definition and development of IC architecture, ensuring that designs meet performance, power, and area requirements.
- Develop behavioral models and run simulations to validate circuit designs using industry-standard tools like SPICE, Cadence, or Mentor Graphics.
- Work closely with layout engineers to ensure that the physical design meets all performance, area, and manufacturability requirements.
- Collaborate with verification engineers to create comprehensive test plans and ensure designs meet all specifications and performance goals.
- Generate and maintain design documentation, including design reviews, technical reports, and project schedules.
- Participate in silicon validation and debug activities, analyzing test data and making necessary design adjustments.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including digital design, process, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of designs into larger systems.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies and tools.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's (preferred) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal IC design.
- Proven track record of successfully designing and delivering complex ICs from concept to production.
- Strong proficiency in analog and mixed-signal design tools (e.g., Cadence Virtuoso, HSPICE, MATLAB).
- Deep understanding of CMOS process technology and design considerations.
- Expertise in low-power design techniques and high-performance analog circuit design.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in IC design or related areas are a plus.
