Key Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Evaluate patient's physical, psychosocial, and educational needs.
• Develop and implement patient's care and discharge plans.
• Guide Licensed Practical Nurse and Nurse Assistant.
• Facilitate learning opportunities for patient/family.
• Communicate patient changes/conditions to caregivers.
• Participate in departmental/organizational meetings and educational opportunities.
• Steward hospital resources and meet productivity expectations.
• Adapt to changes in the health care environment.
• Solve problems and support process improvement teams.
• Document patient information accurately and timely.
• Delegate/supervise based on patient needs and scope of practice.
• Maintain confidentiality and abide by HIPPA regulations.
• Provide competent patient care based on age•specific growth and development.
• Enhance job functions through personal and professional development.
• Abide by all medical center and departmental policies and procedures.
Additional Functions:
• Participate in shared governance councils and department committees as requested.
