Job Description
Information Systems Security Officers (ISSO) and Information Systems Security Engineers (ISSE) supporting the Ft. Meade, MD customer. Our work locations range from North and South Laurel, Columbia, Annapolis Junction, Linthicum and Ft. Meade, MD.
Possible ISSO Job Duties :
Support the information assurance program for the program, organization, system, or enclave.
Assist in developing, implementing, and enforcing information systems security policies and standards.
Maintain the operational security posture of information systems to ensure compliance with security policies and procedures.
Manage security aspects and day-to-day operations of information systems.
Evaluate security solutions for processing classified information.
Conduct vulnerability/risk assessments for certification and accreditation.
Provide configuration management for security software, hardware, and firmware.
Manage and assess the security impact of system changes.
Prepare and review documentation like SSPs, Risk Assessment Reports, and C&A packages.
Support security authorization in compliance with NISCAP and DoD RMF.
Possible ISSE Job Duties:
Perform and review technical security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and non-compliance.
Validate and define system security requirements and designs.
Design and integrate IA and security systems, including complex enclave environments.
Embed IA into systems deployed in operational environments.
Assist architects and developers with security functionality implementation.
Enforce trusted relationships among external systems and architectures.
Assess and mitigate security threats throughout the program life cycle.
Contribute to security planning, risk analysis, and certification activities.
Apply expertise in system security engineering across various domains and processes.
Support security authorization in compliance with NISCAP, DoD RMF, NIST RMF, and customer security processes.
Desired Skills and Experience
o Must have Full Scope Poly and Bachelors Degree
o Five (5) or more years of experience as an ISSO or ISSE
o DoD 8570 Certification compliance related to level of position. This could include one or more of the following IAT II, IAM I, II or III or IASAE I, II or III: ( Security+ CE or CISSP or CASP+ CE, ISSEP)
