Project Manager - Hybrid (T-Thursday, R-M/F)
Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years in a project management role within the IT and business functions.
- Project Management: Experience managing large, complex projects with internal and external components, using waterfall, agile, and SDLC methodologies and tools.
- Leadership: Proven ability to coach, develop, and lead diverse project teams, working with stakeholders across the organization.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, engaging executive sponsors and key stakeholders effectively.
- Financial Management: Experience with project cost management, resource capacity planning, and change management.
- Technical Skills: Strong business process analysis and mapping skills.
- Certifications: PMP certification preferred; Agile certifications (PSM, PSPO) and ITIL v3/v4 are a plus.
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with the energy industry is advantageous.
Responsibilities:
- Project Planning: Develop project proposals, estimates, and quality reviews.
- Risk Management: Perform issue and risk management activities.
- Project Tracking: Use tools to forecast, plan, estimate, and track project delivery and budget.
- Technical Oversight: Provide oversight for performance, cost, scope, schedule, and quality to technical leadership.
- Deliverables: Lead the project to produce agreed-upon deliverables within specified timeframes.
- Process Execution: Execute a wide range of process activities from requirements definition to final delivery.
- Dependency Management: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Documentation: Develop clear and concise documentation to facilitate communication and understanding.
- Collaboration: Facilitate collaboration across multiple functions, departments, and levels.
- Relationship Management: Manage relationships with customers, other IT providers, and service provider personnel.
- Status Reporting: Provide timely status reports to leadership teams on program-oriented work efforts.
- Team Management: Determine and communicate team assignments, direct and monitor work efforts.
Key Skills:
- Electric Utility Experience: 7+ years of experience in the electric utility industry is highly preferred.
- Project Management Certification: PMP or similar certification is essential.
- Substation and Transmission Experience: Knowledge of substation and/or transmission power line builds is a significant advantage.
