Position Title: Horizon Health Store Clerk

Purpose of Position:
To provide service for our customers, assist with billing and A/R duties, maintain story inventory and receiving, data entry, assist with daily operation of Horizon Health.
Essential Functions:
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Following Horizon Health policies and procedures.
- Provide service to our customers and assist them with their needs, including billing questions.
- Provide fitter services to our customers.
- Answer phones and take messages.
- Balance cash drawer and perform end of day procedures
- Manage inventory for Horizon Health and the Scott City Clinic consignment closet. Maintain an adequate supply to meet customer need without creating overstock.
- Assist in A/R functions, which include collecting payment for services rendered by following Horizon Health policies and procedures provided by Scott County Hospital.
- Assist with the posting of charges and payments.
- Assist with day, month, and year-end procedures.
- Assist with billing procedures, which includes processing insurance claims electronically and manually.
- Complete orders for customers, updating data as needed.
- Assigning ICD-10-CM (diagnosis) and HCPCS (supply) codes.
- Filing.
- Not to work in excess of 40 hrs/wk unless approved by management.
- In-service meetings as required by SCH.

Education, Qualifications, Experience:
High School Diploma or GED
Computer knowledge required
Minimum typing speed of 30 wpm
Accounting background preferred

Friendly, compassionate, high energy, time oriented, well organized, able to do multifaceted tasks, neat in appearance, excellent communication and people skills, independent, and has a vision to see what needs to be done.
Expectation of Service: This is a non-exempt 40 hour per week position. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
Physical Requirements: This position requires continual sitting and typing at a computer terminal, some walking, bending, stooping, and lifting of up to 25 pounds.
