Job Title: Construction Administrator
Location: Dallas, TX
We are looking for a Construction Administrator for our Client in the Dallas area. Our Client is a client-focused firm who has been around for over 20 years and are committed to building relationships with both clients, employees, and the community. They are an multi-award winning architecture firm looking for a Construction Administrator to help deliver quality work. This individual will collaborate closely with a diverse array of professionals including Project Managers, Architects, and Consultants to execute construction projects in commercial, healthcare, industrial, and institutional facilities.
Responsibilities:
- Actively engaging with stakeholders such as Project Managers, Owners, and Contractors to ensure effective communication throughout the construction journey.
- Conducting on-site inspections to monitor construction progress and actively participating in progress meetings.
- Timely generation and upkeep of comprehensive project observation reports.
- Collaborating with Contractors and Owners to assess project scheduling and evaluate Pay Applications and Proposed Change Orders.
- Scrutinizing Substitution Requests, Samples, Submittals, and Shop Drawings in coordination with the Design team.
- Promptly addressing Requests for Information in consultation with the Design team.
- Maintaining meticulous records of construction progress and documentation tailored to project requirements.
- Contributing to the Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes within the organization.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of Construction Administration experience.
- Bachelor degree in Architecture.
- Understand construction practices, including building codes and industry standards.
- Proven negotiation and conflict-resolution abilities, ensuring smooth project progression.
- Exceptional communication and organizational skills to facilitate effective collaboration.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills under high-pressure situations.
- Familiar with the design process, professional ethics, and client relations.
- Flexibility to manage multiple projects across different phases, from bidding to post-construction.
- Ability to travel occasionally to project sites in various locations.
- Basic knowledge of project management processes and commonly used construction management software.
