Hospital based Psychiatry Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Opportunity (Per Diem) - Danbury Hospital in Danbury, Connecticut (70 miles from New York City)
Danbury Hospital is seeking a per diem PMHNP Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Psychiatry team to cover our 22-bed unit. You will work with our attending psychiatrists, psychiatry residents, medical students and APRNs to support Department of Psychiatry coverage either hospital-based rounding for 8-hour shifts on weekends or holidays or Medical/Surgical and Emergency Department Consults for 8 or 12-hour shifts on weekends or holidays. Danbury Hospital is located in suburban Fairfield County, Connecticut, about 70 miles outside of New York City, and near the border of Westchester and Putnam Counties in New York State.
The ideal candidate will be a board-certified PMHNP or Physician Assistant with at least one year of hospital-based psychiatry experience, CT RN and APRN or PA license, CSR and DEA required. This is an employed position with a competitive hourly rate and eligibility to participate in our 401k plan. Spanish language skills are a plus. Availability for about 2 shifts per month required.
