Your Role: Principal Controls Systems Commissioning Engineer 💡
Lead the Future of Power Upgrades! As our Principal Controls Systems Commissioning Engineer, you will be instrumental in the Salem Power Uprate Project, overseeing crucial modifications for Salem Units 1 and 2. Your role will blend technical expertise with leadership to ensure seamless implementation and top-tier system performance.
What You’ll Do 🔧
- Innovate & Solve: Assess modification needs and craft innovative solutions.
- Lead with Impact: Sponsor and navigate plant modifications through the approval process.
- Be the Expert: Act as the system lead engineer and primary plant systems expert.
- Support & Enhance: Update Preventive Maintenance and Surveillance Programs; pinpoint critical spare parts.
- Test & Verify: Assist with factory and plant startup testing; ensure accurate verification.
- On-Site Leadership: Provide essential field support for installations, testing, and as-built verification.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all modifications meet regulatory standards, including 50.59 and License Amendment Requests.
- Emergency Preparedness: Contribute to Emergency Response Organization duties when needed.
Who We’re Looking For 👩🔧👨🔧
Required:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree i n Mechanical, Civil, Controls, or related Engineering.
- Experience: 13+ years in engineering roles with at least 7 years focused on controls systems.
- Flexibility: Willing to work shifts during installation phases.
- Licenses: Valid US driver’s license with a strong driving record.
- Clearance: Must meet Nuclear requirements for unescorted plant access.
Preferred:
- Power Uprate Experience: Expertise with pressurized water reactors (PWR).
- Certifications: Design Engineering configuration control; Professional Engineering license (NJ or other state).
