As a Project Manager in Construction, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing complex, multi-family construction projects. You will serve as the main point of contact for project teams and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, consultants, and subcontractors. Your role encompasses all phases of the project, from pre-construction to closeout and warranty, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing bid documents to identify constructability issues and scope requirements.
- Participating in the estimating process and leading the team from pre-construction to construction phases.
- Developing detailed and comprehensive construction schedules.
- Efficiently managing and maintaining project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, change orders, and meeting minutes.
- Leading and coordinating various project team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate is a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to managing complex construction projects. You should be personable, proactive, and highly organized, with the following qualifications:
- At least five years of relevant project management experience.
- In-depth knowledge of construction systems, materials, procurement processes, code compliance, and safety regulations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven leadership abilities in managing diverse teams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
- Experience with Procore construction management software is an advantage.
- Must be based in the San Francisco Bay Area and able to visit job sites regularly. Familiarity with local construction markets and contractors is a plus.
