Job Title: Systems Engineer/Software Engineer
Location: Rancho Cordova, CA (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: up to $50/hr on W2
Duration: 24+ Months
Required Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
2-5 years of experience in a DevOps or related role, with a strong background in infrastructure, automation, and deployment.
Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong experience with programming in Python
Strong experience with script languages such as PowerShell, and Bash script
Strong experience with virtualization technologies such as VMWare, Hyper-V and VirtualBox
Experience with monitoring tools like DataDog and Splunk
Experience with database administration in MS SQL, PostgreSQL and MongoDB
Experience with storage technologies like S3, NFS, CiFS and LVM
Strong knowledge of System Administration for Enterprise Linux and Windows Server
Fundamental knowledge of System Networking to collaborate with IT.
Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, version control systems such as Artifactory, Git, and GitLab Pipelines.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a small, high-performing team.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a passion for technical excellence and innovation.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of development processes and tools, such as SCRUM, Confluence and JIRA
Experience with OS Imaging tools like Altiris and alternatives
Experience programming with Java, Golang, Angular, NodeJS
Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus and HPE OneView
Strong knowledge of design patterns for Kubenetes like GitOps
Experience alternative container tools like Podman
Experience with database administration in SingleStore
Experience with GitHub, GitHub Actions, and Quick Build.
