About This Position
Manage environmental regulatory compliance (CAA, CWA, RCRA, EPCRA, SWPPP, SPCC) and sustainability performance (energy/water/waste resource reduction and efficiency) programs in alignment with regulatory requirements, Honda business plans, and company direction. Support operational and critical systems updates to ensure needed data is available for regulatory compliance and sustainability reporting objectives.
Responsibilities Include
- Advise and provide technical support with operation of FAC-ENV mechanical and electrical systems including but not limited to electrical panels, controls, pumps, air compressors, chillers, heat exchangers, metering, Building Management System and communications. Manage and maintain documentation for the FAC-ENV systems. Communicate critical updates to site system operators.
- Advise on compliance and performance activities for U.S. sites in coordination with Regional direction.
- Develop monthly Green Factory utility reporting and tracking for FAC-ENV. Simplify and systemize the reporting approach
- Develop and manage FAC-ENV utility budgets. Identify, implement, and manage investment projects to improve and maintain utility systems.
- Implement new engineering strategies and technologies to replace facilities equipment and systems at their end of life (EOL) with triple zero mindset.
- Lead meetings with customers and contractors of all levels and capabilities. Build mutually beneficial relationships with customers and contractors.
Who We Are Seeking
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
Minimum Experience
- A minimum of five years of environmental experience or equivalent Honda manufacturing experience with a passion for Environmental

Additional Position Factors
Travel: Average of 1-3 times monthly. Amount varies based on project demands/responsibilities, conferences, etc.; includes possible overseas travel.
Physical: Primarily works at a desk or scope; frequent keyboarding. Limited kneeling, standing, squatting, reaching or bending.
Hazards: Risks found in a typical office & shop setting. May be exposed to explosives/flammables, pressurized equipment, toxic chemicals and moving parts.
Overtime: Overtime expected based on project demands/responsibilities.
Maintains professional conduct and follows all departmental, safety DEPARTMENT, and COMPANY policies, Procedures, AND rules.
