Our client, a major Quantitative Hedge fund, is looking to hire an experienced API Developer to be in charge of developing and delivering API's for various systems across the firm. This is an excellent opportunity to play a crucial role in the growth of the firm's systems.

Responsibilities:
- Evaluate and implement a middleware solution for API management and delivery.
- Set up and enforce authentication and authorization protocols for applications to provide and utilize APIs.
- Create and establish best practices for secure and efficient data transfer between systems via APIs.
- Develop APIs for specific applications and support other teams in their API development efforts.
- Maintain a centralized API documentation system and ensure all APIs are well-documented.
Desirable Candidates:
- Ideally around 10 years of experience in developing and delivering APIs.
- Proficiency in developing APIs for systems based on Java, Python, and C#/.Net.
- Experience with deploying API management solutions in cloud environments.
- Familiarity with API documentation tools like Swagger.
- Previous work experience within a hedge fund, trading firm or investment bank is a strong preference.
