Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Production Manager with a strong background in blown film manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of production operations, ensuring that quality, safety, and efficiency are consistently achieved. Your leadership will be key in driving process improvements, optimizing production schedules, and developing a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the production team to ensure efficient and safe operations. Provide training, mentorship, and task assignments to maximize team performance.
- Production Planning: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan and schedule production activities, adjusting schedules as needed to meet customer demands and production targets.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee product quality throughout the production process, implementing and enforcing quality control procedures to exceed customer expectations.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain and enforce strict safety regulations within the production area. Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure all employees adhere to safety protocols.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for process optimization and efficiency improvements, working closely with engineering and operations teams to streamline processes.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production activities, including shift reports, production output, quality data, and incident reports. Prepare management reports as required.
- Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory control to ensure raw materials and finished goods are properly stored, tracked, and accounted for.
- Training & Development: Support the ongoing training and development of production staff, providing guidance on best practices, machine operation, and safety protocols.
- Continuous Monitoring: Actively monitor production processes to quickly address and resolve issues, minimizing disruptions and ensuring on-time production.
Qualifications:
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Plastics, Engineering, or a related field is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within plastics manufacturing, specifically in blown film production, is required.
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of extrusion equipment, production processes, and quality control procedures. A solid understanding of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional leadership abilities with a talent for motivating and guiding a diverse team. Strong communication and conflict resolution skills are essential.
- Problem-Solving: A sharp analytical mindset capable of identifying production issues, troubleshooting problems, and implementing effective solutions.
