Job Overview:
The Manager of Procedure Clinic has responsibility for the effective implementation of the philosophy, goals, policies, and procedures of the clinic and the nursing department and their effect on patient care.
Duties:
- Assists the director in development, implementation, and evaluation of ongoing service programs that ensure quality surgical services in clinical and ASC setting.
- Accurately identifies real/potential problems affecting the service and implements solutions with follow-through and communication.
- Monitors/maintains unit compliance with regulatory, accrediting, and clinic policy for patient services and environmental and personnel safety.
- Participates in Quality Initiatives, which monitor and evaluate critical aspects of care.
- Is responsible for the department’s operational excellence; ensures that the department delivers quality services in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and professional standards.
- Participate in training and education including but not limited to BLS certification, mock codes and Peds OR emergencies scenarios.
- Responsible for ongoing development of staff and unit-specific patient care programs.
- Promotes effective working relations and work effectively as part of a team to facilitate the Clinic’s ability to meet its goals and objectives.
- Fosters a service, which is consistent with the patient care beliefs and shared management philosophy of the department.
- Consults with patients/families through primary nurse request, direct family request or direct assessment of patient/family. Assesses patient/significant other survey responses regarding nursing care and services.
- Provides leadership in clinical problem solving.
- Maintains current license and knowledge of nursing care requirements for all patients on the unit. Assesses the need for personal growth and development and takes the initiative in seeking opportunities to meet this need.
- Responsible for effective and efficient fiscal management of department operations to ensure proper utilization of organizational and financial resources.

Required Qualifications:
- Current state registration as RN
- Must possess and maintain current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Maintain Pediatric Advanced Life Support and ACLS certifications (Must obtain within 6 months of hire).
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN
- Previous management experience.
- Three years of clinical experience.
