Akkodis is seeking a Front Office Trading – Technical Business Analyst for full time positions with our client. In this role, you will work within our client’s practice providing services to companies for their electronics markets and trading, risk management and regulatory change projects.
Seeking candidates local to New Jersey and metropolitan New York area.
Salary: $100,000 to $160,000 based salary depending on education, experience and other factors
As a Front Office Trading - Technical Business Analyst you will work within and, at times, lead teams developing and delivering transformational change projects on behalf of major investment banks and other top tier financial services companies.
Other responsibilities include:
- performing activities such as requirements gathering and analysis, technical evaluations and specifications, functional analysis and testing.
- With experience, will have the opportunity to lead project teams, managing stakeholder relationships and ensuring timely delivery of work
- Working with Client Relationship Managers to explore clients’ requirements and qualify them sufficiently to develop compelling proposals for the services we provide.
Required skills and experience for the Front Office Trading – Technical Business Analyst include:
- 5 to10+ years’ experience working in the investment banking industry, preferably with one or more areas of specialism including Front Office Trading, Risk Management, Fixed Income, Derivatives, etc.
- 3+ years’ experience working (and working knowledge of) python and/or java and the ability to read code
- Knowledge of FRTB (Fundamental Review of Trading Book)
- Working knowledge of trade lifecycle and risk processes
- Good knowledge of one or more financial product sets including market structure, pricing methodologies and risk characteristics
- Development experience and / or knowledge of SQL
- Experience in business process modelling and optimization would be a plus
- Understanding of market or credit risk and associated regulations
- Ability to be proactive, organized and focused strongly on delivering results.
- Having a track record of working within a team conducting and delivering high-quality analysis work in challenging environments.
- Experienced in dealing with senior stakeholders and taking responsibility for quality and delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including authoring of business documents and presentations, running workshops and stakeholder management
- Experience in a software development environment
- The ability to conduct careful, structured analysis on complex problems or requirements in order to support defensible conclusions and solutions.
- Experience in delivering logical and comprehensive test strategies and clear, concise test cases
