Job Description: Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Estimator with 1-4 years of experience in assisting with bridge project estimations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating bridge projects ranging from $5 million to $25 million.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for bridge projects.
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to gather necessary information for accurate estimations.
- Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
- Participate in bid preparation and submission processes.
- Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools.
- Assist in identifying potential cost-saving opportunities and risk factors.
- Support the senior estimating team in various tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 1-4 years of experience in estimating bridge projects.
- Familiarity with bridge construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
- Proficiency in estimation software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or similar).
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of local and state regulations related to bridge construction is a plus.
