Job Title: eCommerce Technical Lead

Responsible for managing the retail applications support team within the assigned area, overseeing the full life cycle of planning, development, implementation, post-implementation, and ongoing operations of retail e-commerce and marketing information systems and technology. Develop standards, policies, procedures, and practices to ensure systems, services, and applications meet organizational needs, and maintain the documentation for department project specifications, project plans, timelines, etc.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop standards, policies, procedures, and practices to ensure systems, services, and applications meet company needs, while maintaining documentation for project specifications, timelines, and more.
- Stay current on industry trends and best practices in Information Technology/Retail Systems and recommend improvements to existing programs and processes.
- Mentor the team in analytical processes and problem resolution (both proactive and corrective) for retail e-commerce and marketing technology solutions, meeting both business and end-user requirements.
- Manage staffing, training, performance management, and career development of team members, and track and achieve department goals.
- Provide technical and/or project management direction to determine feasibility and resource requirements for releases; coordinate work with other departments, and ensure timely project completion and issue resolution.
- Manage, and potentially participate in, retail technology applications development activities including analysis, design, and evaluation of new and existing systems. Lead testing, certification, pilot, implementation, and ongoing operations of retail information systems and technology solutions. Collaborate with internal IT teams, external vendors, and cross-functional business partners as needed.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of retail applications/information systems, including managing requirements, project schedules, cost estimates, certification, and testing to meet business needs.
- Manage the production environment for applications, including change management, issue resolution, after-hours support, and disaster recovery. Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve them.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5 years of experience implementing and supporting digital commerce solutions, preferably in the grocery industry (Mobile App - React, Instacart, NCR Freshop, ShopperKit experience preferred).
- Experience integrating front-end and back-end systems using API frameworks, either SOAP or REST.
- Proven experience leading a development team, including contractors (onshore or offshore).
- Experience with Agile delivery methodology.
- Familiarity with managing software in a PCI-compliant environment.
