Senior Virtualization Engineer- (100% Remote- VMWare/Hyper-V/Azure HCI)
Optomi, in partnership with an enterprise client, is seeking an experienced Virtualization Engineer to join their team. This engineer will help to lead a large migration efforts from VMWare enterprise solutions to Hyper-V and Azure HCI. They will help to craft design and operationalize plans/documentations during and after this migration.
Responsibilities:
- Lead migration from VMWare (ESXi, VxRail, etc.) to Hyper-V enterprise solutions and Azure HCI
- Craft design and documentation plans during migration
- Utilize Veam for storage and backup purposes
- Standardizing virtual environment for Level 1/2 service desk
- Work with both on-prem data center and cloud virtual environments
- Helping to create architecture and standard operating procedures during migration

- Experience creating documentation/ SOP's for service/help desk teams
