Job Title: Director of Strategic Programs and Operations

Job Type: Full Time 40 hours a week
Work Hours: Monday days and Fridays 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm (and one Saturday every other month from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Overview: As the Director of Strategic Programs and Operations, you will play a pivotal role in advancing the mission of the Margaret Fuller Neighborhood House by spearheading initiatives that enhance community engagement, program management, and client support. You will be at the forefront of building bridges between our organization and the diverse communities we serve, ensuring that everyone feels welcomed, supported, and empowered to thrive. This role will directly oversee all programs and program operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Staff Development and Community Engagement: Will lead develop all programs and be responsible for supervising the program team and lead all community engagement initiatives and partnerships. Will support the program team while engaging with residents, community organizations, and stakeholders to foster meaningful relationships and partnerships.
- Program Management: Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of all programs and initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives.
- Client Support and Outreach Strategy: Will be responsible for developing a client outreach strategy that is focused on engaging existing and new clients. Will lead the program team as they provide compassionate and culturally competent support to individuals and families accessing services, connecting them with resources and advocating on their behalf when needed.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with staff, volunteers, and partners to identify emerging needs and opportunities within the community, developing innovative solutions and programming to address them.
- Data Management: Maintain accurate records and data related to community engagement activities, program outcomes, and client interactions, utilizing this information to inform decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
- Community/Organizational Event Development and Support: Will assist with the development and implementation of special events (Port Community Pride Day, Annual Turkey, and Food Drive, Annual Holiday Gift Drive, Annual Gala, and other special; events).
- Program Evaluation: Will develop and implement a program evaluation tool that will allow the program team to evaluate the success and the effectiveness of all programs.
- Grant and Report Writing: Will be responsible for assisting with grant writing and contract reports.
- Community Partnerships and Relationship Management: Will be responsible for developing and maintaining new and existing programmatic partnerships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in social work, community development, or a related field (master's degree preferred and not required).
- Must have a minimum of 4 years of proven experience in community engagement, program development, program management, program evaluation, and staff supervision.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Commitment to social justice, equity, and inclusion, with a passion for empowering marginalized communities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with database management systems.
