SUMMARY
We have an immediate need for an Industrial Engineer who will work with our multi-location Engineering team on various projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Optimize the entire DC operations by implementing Lean Manufacturing Techniques, 5S, Kanban-Kizan Process & Continuous Improvement Process
- Conduct Pareto Analysis and Material Flow Analysis for all products in DC and separate the products into ABC zones in the facility based on product profile and demand
- Perform DC slotting of over 40,000 SKU’s and SKU velocity analysis based on product profile for reduced travel time for order picking, optimal material handling and maximum storage utilization
- Develop expertise in ERP and WMS system for data analysis and provide training to other DC and operation team members
- Create and analyze ERP generated reports and identify areas of process improvement in DC
- Contribute to distribution center layout strategy using AutoCad, Draft Sight and SolidWorks
- Coordinate quality control objectives and activities to inspect products and analyze RMA’s. Identify operational improvements to reduce RMA’s resulting from inaccurate picking or shipping
- Create and maintain dashboard for all shipping, receiving, and production activities to ensure efficient operations
- Participate in the creations of new locations (zoning/sequences/put away/slotting) in DC
- Contribute to the development and implementation process of SOPs for different departments within the DC
- Coordinate and manage the requests made by different departments, management and other Automann DCs
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering
- A minimum of four years of relevant operations experience required
- Expert knowledge of AutoCad, DraftSight or Solidworks
- Knowledge of Epicor Prophet 21 or other ERP systems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills-written and verbal; Good listener
- Be proactive, willing to go the extra mile and have flexibility to change
COMPENSATION: $90,000-$100,000
