Our client, a major distribution company, is looking for a Project Planner to join their team on a hybrid basis in Nashville, TN.
Responsibilities:
- Will be responsible for creating, organizing, and executing project schedules for material handling equipment within the sort center such as conveyor belts and other machinery.
- Identify, track, and execute to key project milestones and hold all teams accountable for project dates.
- Will be given specific requirements from the facility on what they need accomplished, will be responsible for executing the project plan.
- Adding milestones, updating scope changes, and tracking changes to schedule.
- Responsible for understanding layouts of the site and do scope of work for the project.
- Assisting with writing RFPs, working with vendors for site selection and working on engineering design and hand off to execution.
- Up to 25% travel is required for site visits.
Requirements:
- Project management skills are required, but not looking for someone with only Project management background.
- Must have hands on design or construction experience in a manufacturing setting as well.
- Heavily weighted towards someone with a design background. Any kind of design (automotive, warehouse systems, manufacturing) would work.
- Bachelors degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical, manufacturing)
- 3+years of experience in manufacturing/industrial designs required.
- MS Project, Smartsheets, Excel, and AutoCAD experience required.
