Required Experience:
- 5+ years’ Workday functional and technical experience.
- 8+ combined years’ experience with the successful project management, support, and implementation of Workday HRMS ERP systems.
Ideal Candidate Experience:
- Workday Certified in HCM, Advanced Compensation, Business Processes, Recruiting, Security.
- 3 - 5 years direct organization experience preferred
- 3 years’ experience managing a team.
Required Knowledge, Abilities and Skills essential to Job Functions:
- Proven experience managing the implementation of a Workday HCM ERP systems.
- Proven experience with full lifecycle implementation with Workday HCM ERP system and technical knowledge of Workday HRMS applications.
- Experienced in RFP process, vendor selection/management.
- Demonstrated experience mapping business processes.
- Change management/implementations from beginning to post go-live support.
- End to End and User Acceptance testing phases for Workday HCM implementations and new
- enhancements.
- Workday releases/updates - Prepare, test, and implement Workday updates that are beneficial to
- our company.
- Develop and deliver HCM training for users (admin, managers, employees).
- Lead resource commitment sessions with business and tech teams for delivery of project and
- support.
- Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, executives, and ability to bridge gap between
- technical and business teams.
- Ability to interface with end users and effectively understand and support their requirements.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet multiple deadlines.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and adapt to a rapidly changing environment.
Essential Job Functions:

- The manager will deliver, oversee, and manage a fully integrated Workday HCM system in Recruiting, HR, Benefits, Absence, Payroll, etc. The manager will:
- Provide hands on configuration and evaluation of HCM configurations, security assignments, and business processes.
- Lead End to End and User Acceptance testing phases for HCM implementation and new enhancements.
- Be efficient and knowledgeable in bonus and time off configuration and experience building bonus and time off plans.
- Manage HCM and Payroll design and configuration, validation, E2E testing, payroll parallel, go live production cutover.
- Be involved in Use Case documentation and data mapping.
- Support Integration file support/build proof of concept and testing of configuration integration.
- Manage records created and received in compliance with the Hampton Roads Transit Records Management Policies and Procedures.
- Assist respective Business Owners in preparation and/or coordination with other departments any system documentation required in support of the FTA triennial reviews, drug and alcohol audits, independent audits, state audits, EEO program audit, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Degree in Business Administration or Management Information Systems or closely related field
from accredited college or university. or the equivalent combination of education and experience required.
