About the Company:
Cornerstone is actively seeking a Project Executive to join our client, a well-established General Contractor. The Project Executive will oversee multiple projects and Project Managers, primarily in the assisted living, multi-family, and commercial construction sectors. The position will be based out of our client's Boston office. Projects are located in the greater Boston area, so the Project Executive should be familiar with local jurisdictions and have established contacts.
About the Role:
The Project Executive has the authority and responsibility to drive successful project results moving the project from pre-construction through final closeout in the safest manner possible while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all safety compliance and quality programs are being executed on the project site. Safety is one of our client's core values.
- Actively participate in bidding and pre-construction services along with operational standards.
- Openly and confidently communicate with all parties involved with the project, establishing trust and rapport with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Manage the performance of the professional Project Managers assigned to the project.
- Maintain strict control over the budget and keep project on schedule through the assigned Project Manager, ensuring ongoing profitability.
- Execute subcontracts and purchase orders, and approve subcontractor invoices and change requests. Negotiate contract changes with the client. Complete close-out requirements for projects and collect final payment.
- Mentor and train Project Managers and Assistant Project Managers to ensure their ongoing career growth and development.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution. Civil Engineering or Construction Management is preferred.
- 10+ years relevant experience managing complex construction programs
- Experience on multi-story and/or multi-family projects is preferred.
- Proficient in estimating, scheduling, budgeting cost, field supervision, financial reporting, and client relationships
- Ability to interface with a variety of technical and business personnel with courtesy, tact and diplomacy
- Excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to direct organize and communicate with team members at all levels
