The Hardware Engineering Manager will lead a team of engineers focused on designing analog, digital, and power electronic hardware solutions for aerospace applications. This role involves supervising engineers, applying hands-on technical expertise, and participating in various stages of solution development, including defining technical approaches, developing architectures, leading proposals, and planning/leading development efforts.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 10+ years of experience in embedded hardware development and solid-state power.
- B.S. in Electrical or Hardware Engineering; Master’s degree in Engineering preferred.
- Prior technical leadership and management experience in an aerospace development environment.
- Knowledge of ARP4761 guidelines and ARP4754 certification considerations.
- Experience with requirements-based development and standards such as DO-160, DO-178B/C, DO-254, and MIL-HDBK-217.
- Familiarity with serial communications protocols including CANBus, RS-232/422/485, ARINC 429, ARINC 825, Mil-STD-1553, Ethernet, SPI, and I2C.
- Experience in designing and testing various sensor interfaces (e.g., speed, temperature, torque, pressure, force, position, voltage, current, power, and phase).
- Technical understanding of PCB layout principles to optimize EMI/EMC performance.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and strong customer presence.
