Seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to join a highly rated Heavy Civil Contractor serving the Mid-Atlantic region. They specialize in sitework and heavy highway projects and are well-established with a strong pipeline and book of business.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee civil construction projects from bid through to completion, both private and public
- Develop bid responses and estimates to procure work.
- Read and interpret specifications, blueprints, and construction drawings prior to project start
- Recommend measures to improve production methods and equipment performance to increase efficiency and safety.
- Prepare project reports for upper management, client, or others.
- Review data to determine material and labor requirements and prepare itemized lists.
NECESSARY KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or comparable is preferred
- Requires a valid driver’s license. Strong leadership ability must be demonstrated.
- Position requires the ability to instruct, motivate, and direct others effectively and be able to identify the best people for the job.
- Experience using HCSS - Heavy Job and Heavy Bid preferred, Microsoft Project
