TCI has an immediate need for a Windows Systems Administrator in Georgetown, KY. This is not a C2C opportunity.
SUMMARY
The Windows Systems Administrator will manage Microsoft infrastructure including infrastructure planning, implementation, and support.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot the Windows Server environment (from 2012/R2 to the latest version).
- Recommend annual upgrades, participate in project planning, and contribute to disaster recovery strategies.
- Oversee Active Directory, Azure Active Directory (Entra), and Exchange Online.
- Implement and manage a Windows Server Update Services (WSUS) solution.
- Configure and administer backups, including using Veeam Backup software.
- Automate tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Ansible, and Python.
- Create, apply, and maintain Group Policy Objects (GPOs).
- Deploy solutions across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation related to daily job functions, procedures, and system configurations.
- Prepare for hyper-converged infrastructure and elastic cloud deployments.
- Provide second-level support for daily technical issues related to users and network systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience in administering Windows Server environments from 2012/R2 through latest version.
- Microsoft Certifications are a big plus.
- In-depth knowledge of Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Experience with Azure Active Directory (Entra) and Exchange Online.
- Proficiency in scripting languages, with a preference for PowerShell.
- Working understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP and DNS.
- Experience with file sharing, security measures, monitoring, and performance optimization.
- Ability to deploy solutions across on-premises, virtual, and cloud environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and maintenance abilities in a Microsoft environment.
- Excellent documentation skills.
DESIRED (Nice-to-have) SKILLS
- Experience with Linux administration.
- Familiarity with MS-SQL, SharePoint, and IIS.
- Knowledge of SANs, high availability, and disaster recovery techniques.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Technology
