Job Duties/Description:
- Intake and review incoming land control agreement requests (leases, easements, purchase agreements, and other associated documents) for completeness.
- Coordinate search work (ie: property searches with the county) with third party abstractors, recorders and researchers, as needed.
- Examine vesting instruments and other recorded documents following title industry and company standards (to gain certainty of full and complete interest).
- Prepare and proof leases, easements, purchase options, and other origination associated documents to provide to development team.
- Work directly with the Real Estate Origination Manager, project managers, land agents, real estate team members, landowners, third party abstractors, and outside vendors.
- Create and maintain landowner files, tracking spreadsheets, and data.
- Manage and address ongoing new and revised document requests and maintain up to date status reports on project completion, as requested.
- Perform other duties as requested, including but not limited to project closings, data and contract management, large mailings, and real estate trainings.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of experience working within the title industry - required
- Experience with land Deeds, title abstracting and/or real estate agreements is preferred
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite including Excel and Microsoft Teams software. Experience with Landworks would be amazing but not required.
- Existing experience with renewable energy projects - preferred but not required
Additional Info:
- Pay range: $30-$35/hr depending on experience level
- Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm with a 1 hour lunch - some flexibility available
- Location: In office for training for 1-3 weeks and then work a remote schedule if you choose (must be flexible to go in office dependent on workload/project needs).
- Type: ongoing contract - guaranteed minimum of 6 months with potential to go longer
