ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate work activities for all direct reports, removing obstacles in order to maximize productivity.
- Effectively assess, coach and manage your team, in accordance with HR guidelines to ensure consistent and improved performance.
- Lead projects, special activities as needed to evolve and continuously improve food safety and quality assurance programs within the facility.
- Develop training matrices to assure that direct reports are trained completely for current and future work assignments. Lead on-boarding for all new employees, pertaining to Quality Assurance.
- Drive corrective and preventive action processes ensuring full identification of issues, root cause analysis, and validation ensuring quality systems are effective and being executed in accordance with established standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Review and manage both electronic (Redzone activities) and hardcopy records, assuring compliance to established control points and critical control points. Auditing compliance to established food safety requirements.
- Lead, and support interactions with various third-party representatives including; state and local regulatory authorities, customers, GFSI certifying bodies (etc.).
- Collaborate cross-functionally in order to proactively mitigate issues related to operations, maintenance and quality assurance.
- Write and implement quality SOP documents preventive control documents.
- Maintaining and Review of Environmental control program
- Trend and analyze data related to sanitation, environmental monitoring and other quality assurance programs in order to drive continuous improvement.
- Instill a culture of operational discipline, accuracy, and compliance.
- Provide coverage for the FSQA Manager as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education/Training: Bachelors preferred (or equivalent experience)
Related Experience/Requirements:
2 Years or related (food science, quality assurance, production) experience required. Prior experience supervising or leading a staff required. Results oriented, strong attention to detail, and strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to prioritize activities in a multi-tasked environment required.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Advanced analytical skills, an ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meet tight deadlines, prioritize workload and drive projections to completion.
