We are Looking an experienced SQL Developer with specialized knowledge in Wealth Management, Credit/Market Risk Management, Prime Brokerage, Investment Banking, Private Banking, Securities Trading, and Asset Management. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing SQL databases and systems that support our financial services. This role requires a deep understanding of financial products and risk management, as well as the technical expertise to translate complex business requirements into robust, efficient database solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Database Development & Maintenance:
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases to support a variety of financial services, ensuring scalability and reliability.
- Create and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views to enhance data processing and reporting capabilities.
- Develop and maintain ETL processes to support data integration and ensure data quality across multiple financial systems.
Data Management & Analysis:
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of data within the databases.
- Perform database tuning and optimization to maintain high performance in transaction-heavy environments.
- Support data analysis and reporting requirements for business users, particularly in areas related to risk management and financial performance.
Collaboration & Support:
- Work closely with business analysts, data scientists, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver database solutions that meet business needs.
- Collaborate with risk management teams to develop tools and reports that monitor and manage credit, market, and operational risks.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for database-related issues.
Financial Product Support:
- Support database functions related to trading, securities, asset management, and other financial products.
- Ensure database solutions comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements specific to investment banking, private banking, and other financial sectors.
Innovation & Improvement:
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve database design and development practices.
- Stay updated with the latest SQL technologies and best practices to ensure the organization's database systems remain cutting-edge.
Experience:
- 10 + years of experience as an SQL Developer, with a focus on financial services.
- Strong experience in database design, development, and optimization in environments related to Wealth Management, Risk Management, Investment Banking, and Asset Management.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in SQL and related database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Experience with ETL tools and data integration techniques.
- Familiarity with financial products, trading systems, and risk management concepts.
- Experience with database performance tuning, indexing, and query optimization.
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud-based database solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial services (e.g., Basel III, MiFID II).
